Lake Gaston is 34 miles long and boasts 350 miles of shoreline, which has in recent years experienced tremendous growth thanks to it providing its visitors and residents a safe, peaceful environment for boating, fishing, and other water sports.

The 20,300-acre reservoir can be accessed using a number of public boating ramps.

Boating Ramps:

Two ramps can be accessed at Poplar Creek, which is located off Hwy. 903 just east of the Tanglewood subdivision. Get map location

Another ramp can be accessed at the site of what is called the Steel Bridge, located on Hwy. 1 south, nearly 4 miles above the North Carolina state line border. Get map location
